Course Series
3D Printed History
A history course using 3D-printed models and artifacts for visualization, reenactments, maps, symbols, and deeper exploration.
This session
- Length: 6 weeks
- Each session uses a focused historical topic selected for that offering
- Students use self-paced history work during the week, then meet for one live online event each week
- Live class may use printed pieces for battle reenactments, wargaming-style maps, symbols, artifact inspection, and discussion
What families should know
- This is a history course first, not a full 3D modeling course
- Students with 3D printers can often print models themselves; mailed parts may be available when needed
- Some sessions include simple customization or older-student extension projects, such as modifying a shield design
- Materials and access details vary by session and are shared before kickoff
