Course
Computer Literacy
Self-paced computer confidence for younger or newer users: typing, files, school tools, digital habits, and beginner computer science ideas.
This course
- Students build practical comfort with typing, files, folders, browser use, school tools, and everyday computer routines
- Self-paced skill work gives students repeated practice without turning the class into a lecture
- Weekly live online class time can include demonstrations, check-ins, troubleshooting, mini challenges, and shared practice
- Introductory computer science ideas appear through approachable activities and real tool use
What families should know
- This is especially useful for younger students or students who are new to using a computer for school work
- No prior typing speed or technical background is required unless a future session says otherwise
- Devices, platforms, and software vary by session and are shared before kickoff
- This course can serve as a foundation for later software, media, or technology courses
