- Students have chances to show and explain their choices, not just submit a finished build

- AIA provides the class setup or account access used for the session; families need a capable device and reliable internet
- Depending on the session, challenges may be small-team, whole-group, or community-based
- Students do not need to be expert builders to participate unless a future session says otherwise
